Physiotherapy

What Is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a hands-on, evidence-based treatment approach focused on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving overall function. It addresses injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, sports-related conditions, and movement dysfunctions.

Through a combination of manual therapy, targeted exercise, education, and rehabilitation planning, physiotherapy helps support recovery, prevent re-injury, and optimize physical performance.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment

  • Complete your online intake form prior to your first visit.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and access to the area being treated.

  • Arrive on time to receive the full benefit of your session.

  • Stay hydrated before and after your appointment.

What to Expect

Your first visit includes a comprehensive assessment to understand your concerns, injury history, movement patterns, and goals. Based on this evaluation, your physiotherapist will create a personalized treatment plan.

Treatment may include:

  • Manual therapy and joint mobilization

  • Soft tissue techniques

  • Corrective exercises and rehabilitation programs

  • Postural and movement education

  • Modalities such as heat or cold therapy, Ultrasound and IFC

Sessions are interactive, and you may be given exercises or strategies to continue at home to support your recovery.

After Your Treatment

You may feel relief immediately, or gradual improvement over several sessions depending on your condition. Mild soreness can occur, particularly when beginning a new rehabilitation program.

For best results:

  • Follow your prescribed home exercises

  • Stay hydrated

  • Engage in light movement unless otherwise advised
